My name is Joe Bachmann and I am a proud member of “Team Strait Meat.” I live in the state of North Dakota in the town of Williston about 100 miles south of Regina, Canada. I am 25 years old and have been heavily addicted to waterfowl hunting since I was 13 years old. What first intrigued me into Foiles Migrators was when I was in middle school a girl in my class was wearing the old dog logo hoodie, and I had to find out who or what that hoodie was about. What truthfully interested me into waterfowl was when I was about 2 or 3 years old me and my family would go to Branson, Missouri and I would chase all the geese that were along Lake Taney Como.
I moved to Williston a little over a year ago and I am still learning lots about the flight pattern and how ducks and geese react to decoys and such compared to Illinois which is where I came from. Believe it or not it’s completely different. I like to hunt anything and everything as far as where I like to hunt that is still hard to stay considering I am still new to the area but the upcoming seasons if I am not working I will be scouting no matter how long or far the distance.
Once I get familiar with the area I plan on doing some guiding. I am not opposed to having a good time and having people come up and hunt with me. I have had very phenomenal hunts here in North Dakota and would like for others to experience them as well. One goal of mine is to do more with the youth by showing them the sport or at least letting them try it out.
