My name is Blake Peterson and I was born and raised in Colorado. I currently am a senior at Metropolitan State University studying Business. On my free time you can find me hunting all the time, fishing, snowboarding, camping, and ridding anything with a motor. My true Love and passion is hunting though I have been doing it since I was 3 years old with my dad. Everything I have learned to enjoy was instilled in me at a very young age by my father. In 2002 my dad passed away by an avalanche in British Colombia helicopter skiing. This event was the hardest thing we have ever been through if it wasn’t for all of our family and friends I don’t know where we’d be today. Luckily with the help of family and friends we had the opportunity to continue what we loved and everything our dad had taught us. Having two brothers that share the passion, we used hunting as a bonding experience.
When it comes to hunting we chase just about from turkey and elk with my bow to pheasants, doves and my true passion waterfowl. Waterfowl got in my blood when I decoyed my first flock of honkers and called in my first mallards and it grew from there. I have done completion calling in the past and did well in Nebraska. I spend the waterfowl season chasing ducks and geese as often as I can. By joining team Foiles I have taken my waterfowl hunting to the next level and couldn’t be part of a better organization. Without the help of Stillwater Outfitters, Colorado Waterfowl Association, and Team Foiles I would not be where I am today. To all my fellow hunters good luck hunting and always be safe.
